JOURNEYING TOGETHER AS A CHURCH

To all who took the time to express their dreams for the Church, thank you!  The responses have been gathered and the results have anonymously been given to Father Joe Staudt to report the findings to the diocese and then to the Pope.
The Parish Council would like to take the information we gathered and discuss it further with all of you so our faith community may continue to “Journey Together”.  We will be discussing the results and bringing plans to you under the Journeying Together title.  We welcome all of you to our meetings to help us in the planning and implementation.
The over arching theme of the responses was that we all “Love” our beautiful church for the peace and comfort it brings to all of us.  Our best memories were those that involved family and community.  Most of our disappointments steam from wanting more involvement from our priests and our members, in order to be a true community. The dreams for Our Lady of Ostrabrama include wanting more community activities, bible study, and ways to bring back the youth.
Your comments and dreams are welcomed and we ask you to pray for ways we can continue to journey together; ways in which you may be able to help in small ways and larger ways to bring our dreams to life.

Jesus, may our efforts to journey together bear the fruit you desire for Our Lady of Ostrabrama.

In an effort to support Pope Francis in his mission to foster growth, community and participation among all members of our global parishes, we at Our Lady of Ostrabrama are asking that you take a few moments to reflect on the following 3 questions.  Your answers will be forwarded anonymously to the Diocese of Rockville Centre and ultimately to the Vatican.  You may bring your responses to the rectory, leave them in the designated basket at the rear of the church, mail them to OLO PO Box 997 Cutchogue, NY 11935 or email us (please use subject line of SYNOD).

Thank you for your time and for caring for the future of our church.

May God bless you abundantly!
